The Monks Media Radio Network is owned and managed by Jeffrey S. Monks. While passionate about the world of Internet Radio Broadcasting, Jeff also has a "Real job":

Jeffrey S. Monks is the sales and marketing director of Innerspec Technologies, Inc., a Lynchburg, Virginia, manufacturer of high specification ElectroMagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) based ultrasonic systems. His activities involve both domestic and international business, as did his previous position with DeW Systems, Ltd., of Hereford, England, where he was the marketing director for several years. Monks previously owned and managed his own NDT equipment and service companies, PLM and Equipment Consulting (The Equipcon Group). His experience in all disciplines of NDT from a user and supplier role have been valuable in his ASNT volunteer service, where he has been able to identify with all levels of certification. Monks has been certified as a Level II in ET, MT, PT and UT. He has performed tests as a Level II inspector in the petrochemical industry during inspection turnaround outages.

Monks has been an active member of ASNT from joining in 1988 until the present. He served as the founding chair of the Northern Indiana Section from 1988 until 1990 and was a member of the Board of that Section until 1994. In 1992, he became a regional director and has continued in that role through the present. His national ASNT experience began on the Section Operations Council, where he has been a member of the Section Management, Membership, Regional Directors and Awards Divisions. He was the chair of the Awards Division for two years until he became a national director at large in 1999. Monks also served as the chair of the Exhibitor's Committee during the redefining years of the Committee in 1998-2002.

A former National Director of ASNT, Current member of the American Welding Society, The Association of Iron and Steel Technologies, and The ASM International, Monks is a Fellow of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and the recipient of the 1999 Young NDT Professional Award.

Monks is Married with 4 children with residences in Noblesville, IN and Forest, VA.

When I decided to enter the world of internet radio broadcasting, I was well aware of the fact that many individuals claim to also be in the internet radio business. My goal in forming the Monks Media Radio Network is to offer superior sound quality, programming, news and local event coverage. Many other groups, while they claim to also be an internet radio broadcaster are small organizations, with little to no investment, programming and no operating expense. Be assured that at the Monks Media Radio Network, our goal is quality first!

We have added 10 hours of daily programming January 10, 2005, launched a brand new easy to navigate website, increased our broadcast schedule of sporting events and racing industry broadcasts, and added a new interview program, "MARY's MENAGERIE" and attracted record numbers of regular listeners as a result. Our network survival is solely based on advertising and broadcast sponsorships, and we are eternally greatful to our current sponsors! As we continue to grow and broaden our programming, coverage area and continue to engage a larger base, we are in need of more sponsors for our efforts. I have listened to several internet radio broadcasts from around the country who offer what appears to be similar programming to ours. I maintain that NOBODY provides more content of meaning to the listeners than the Monks Media Radio Network, and none of these have invested in the ability to provide more than 20 simultaneous broadcasts, from anywhere to everywhere.

We have launched a brand new season of, "THE INDIE SHOWCASE", which introduces, highlights, interviews, and exposes the independant artists from around our area and the world! This show also provide ample opportunity for the listeners to get to know these artists through live venues! We will also are preparing for online voting of your favorite indie artists with the season winner being granted the opportunity to perform before a huge crowd of several thousand people! Through cooperation of our Hollywood, California Studios, we will provide great feedback, advice, and constructive criticism (unlike Simon of American Idol!)
